Established in 1992, United Veterans League provides military funerals, flag-raising ceremonies and memorial services. The organization covers a 60-mile radius encompassing three parishes: Terrebonne, Lafourche and St. Mary. 

Veterans are suitably sent off to their next life after the League’s members read a prayer, present a flag to the family, engage in a 21-gun salute and perform "Taps,” among other ceremonial duties.
