JON REEVES
Senior Vice Commander - Army

Jon Reeves retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army Reserve after 30 years of service in 2013. Jon served in the Louisiana and Texas National Guards as well as the US Army Reserves.  He enlisted into the Louisiana National Guard in 1983 and was commissioned through the State Officer Candidate School (OCS) in 1987. Jon’s career path includes service as a MP Platoon Leader, Battalion and Division Chemical Officer and Transportation Officer at a Deployment Support Brigade.

During Operation Enduring Freedom (2003-2005), he was deployed both stateside and overseas in deployment support operations at Fort Hood, Fort McCoy, Fort Campbell, and Kuwait. In 2007, Jon deployed to Rotterdam, the Netherlands to serve as Plans, Training and Exercise Officer for the 598th Transportation Brigade. In 2008, he was redeployed to Birmingham, Alabama where he assisted in the formation of the USAR Deployment Support Command, serving as Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the newly formed one-star command. Jon commanded the 377th TSC Special Troops Battalion at Belle Chasse NAS from 2011 until his retirement in 2013.

In 2023, Jon joined the Bourg and Leblanc VFW Post 4752. He has previously held the position of Post Trustee, and currently serves as 3rd District Trustee; 3rd District Assistant Inspector and Post Senior Vice Commander.
